2. Visiting the website

When you open the website, our host Nine Internet Solutions AG (Deploio), Badenerstrasse 47, 8004 Zürich, Schweiz processes technically necessary data: IP address, date and time, the page requested, browser and operating system. This data is kept in server logs only as long as needed for operation and security. The servers are in Switzerland.

To prevent abuse, the website keeps your IP address in memory for at most one minute so that not too many searches start at once. It is not stored permanently.

3. No cookies, no tracking

We use no cookies, no analytics tools and no advertising trackers. Fonts are loaded from our own server, not from Google.

4. Searching for gift ideas

Your keywords and the chosen place are sent to our server to find suitable suggestions. We don't store searches.

To write the suggestions, the keywords and place may be sent to Anthropic PBC (USA), the provider of the AI Claude. Under its terms, Anthropic does not use this data to train its models and deletes it after a limited period. The USA does not have a data protection level recognised as adequate by the Swiss Federal Council for all recipients. The transfer is based on the EU Commission's standard contractual clauses, recognised by the FDPIC. So please don't enter names or sensitive details in the search field.

For events and hikes our server queries public calendars and maps (Eventfrog, Coucou, SchweizMobil). Only place and date are sent, nothing about you.

5. Location

If you choose "Use my location", your browser asks for permission. The coordinates stay in your browser and are only used there to pick the nearest town. They are not sent to us.

6. Printable vouchers

Names you enter on a voucher are part of the print page's address and are only used to create that page. We don't store them. If you share the link, the person you share it with can see these names.

7. Links to providers

When you click a link to a provider, you leave Adventure Santa and the provider's privacy policy applies. With affiliate links the provider learns that you came from Adventure Santa.

8. Your rights

You can ask at any time what personal data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, and object to its processing. Write to hello@daryna.digital. You can also complain to the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC); visitors from the EU to their local supervisory authority.

9. Changes

We update this policy when the website changes. The version published on this page applies.
